On 1st February Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present her second budget in the Parliament. Budget 2020 contains the government’s estimated expenditure and revenue for the current and next fiscal, which runs from 1st April to 31st March.
The budget comprises of the revenue and the capital budget which is the most extensive account of the government’s finances. Revenues from all the sources and expenses of all the activities undertaken are collected.
Before presenting the Union Budget, on 31st January Chief Economic Advisor, Krishnamurthy Subramanian, will present the Economic Survey for this year. The budget session will begin with a speech from President Ram Nath Kovind at 11 am.
When and Where to watch Union Budget 2020 live?
Budget 2020-21 will be the first full-fledged budget of the Modi government after getting re-elected in May 2019. At 11 am Nirmala Sitharaman will present it in Lok Sabha.
