Bollywood actress Vidya Balan recently interacted with media and audience in ongoing Mumbai Film Festival, Mami. The actress talked about her memorable characters and also about various issues.
However, when she was asked about her duties as a member of Censor Board, the actress made her stand clear. A source says, “Vidya had an interesting session with the audience and it went on for quite some time. She did not hesitate speaking about any topic. So when someone asked her that since she is on panel, what will she do if her or any of her relative’s film will come for a review at the board. She quickly replied saying if something like this would happen, then she would excuse herself from her duties as it would be the case of conflict of interest. And she would not want it to happen.”
On the work front Vidya Balan’s Begum Jaan, which released earlier this year, did not perform well at the box office, although the actress received accolades for her performance. This year her second release will be Tumhari Sulu, which stars Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia and others and is directed by Suresh Triveni. It is slated to release on November 24.
