Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has completed his promise that he made with the Uttar Pradesh’s farmers. Big B has paid off the dept of 1398 farmers from UP worth Rs 4.05 crore on Monday.
In his social media post, he has written about that he has arranged for some of the farmers to visit him in Mumbai. As per the reports, the actor mentioned that he had "taken care" of 1,398 farmers by paying off their debt, adding that he felt a "sense of accomplishment".
The Brahmastra actor said that he has invited the 70 selected farmers to meet him in Mumbai and had also received their bank letters.
However, all the farmers whom he helped are from the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, where Big B was born.
This is not the first time that the 76-year-old farmers have helped the farmers, earlier, he had helped 350 farmers from Maharashtra by paying off their loans.
"Gratitude leans across to the desire of removing some of the burdens that farmers continue to suffer from... It was Maharashtra first, when over 350 farmers loans were taken care of... now it's UP and 1398 of them that had out standings of loans on banks has been done with an outlay of 4.05 crore.
"And the inner peace it generates when the desired is completed," he wrote.
