This Uri actor to play Ravi Shastri on screen in Ranveer Singh-Kabir Khan's '83'

Ranveer Singh starrer and Kabir Khan directorial 83 Film is in the discussions for its casting. The film is actually on the 1983 Cricket World Cup, and the film that will be directed by Kabir Khan will narrate the glorious journey of team India that led them to win the world cup against West Indies. These days makers are roping actors to play pivotal roles in the film.

One hand south superstar Jiva will play the role of Srikkanth, while other actors like Sahil Khattar, Chirag Patil, Ammy Virk, Hardy Sandu, Tahir Raj Bhasin have been roped to play other cricketers. Now according to the latest development, the makers have found their Ravi Shastri in Uri actor Dhairya Karwa who played the role of Captain Sartaj Singh Chandhok. The actor is currently in Mumbai and he even has started training for the film.

 

The film will be shot at various locations like Mumbai, Scotland, London and other locations. The shooting of the film will begin on 15th May and it will be a 100 days schedule. Before the shooting takes place the all actors will be taking training sessions in Dharamshala for 10 days.

 

Recently, actor Pankaj Tripathi who has been quite popular for significant roles has also been roped to play the role of PR Man Singh, who was the manager of 1983 World Cup-winning cricket team. While talking about this role and opportunity, Pankaj Tripathi said, "He is one of my favorite directors and we met a couple of times but never got an opportunity to work together. Then one day, he called me to narrate the story of 83 and at certain points, it made me tear up."
