Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way of living of human beings as it has enforced humans to stay indoors and maintain social distancing while stepping out. This also affected the entertainment industry. Due to lockdown, several films shooting have been halted while many filmmakers decided to release their films on OTT platforms.
Recently, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah revealed his opinion about the new trend of releasing a film on OTT. According to The Times of India, the actor said that he wants to see how people would react to a Salman Khan’s film when it gets released on OTT.
Shah is mulling over how people would whistle, clap, and throw coins at the screen as people do in the theatre. He believed that people won’t behave in the same way at their while watching the film with their family on their mobile screen or tv screen.
He also added that the lockdown has opened the gate for young filmmakers as they could make films on interesting subjects or a novel subject without worrying about a producer sitting on their heads asking who is a hero or ‘gaana daal do’. He is optimistic about the future and really glad that the huge budget of Rs 500 crore might be a thing of the past now.
On the work front, Naseeruddin Shah is currently busy with his web series. While Salman Khan will next be seen in ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’. The film also features Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda, and Jackie Shroff in lead roles.
His other projects in the pipeline are ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ and ‘Kick 2’.
