Tabu to play cameo in Sanjay Dutt's biopic

The actress will be seen playing herself in the film.

Earlier this year in February, the actress was said to have to visit the sets of the Rajkumar Hirani film. There were reports that a new comer will be playing Tabu in the film and so she kept visiting the set to discuss her portrayal with the director.

Now, according to the latest buzz, Tabu will be seen presenting an award for the best actor in a comic role to Ranbir, who plays Dutt in the movie. In real life too, Sanjay had won the award for Munna Bhai MBBS in 2004 and Tabu had presented the trophy to him back then. The same scene has been recreated for the film. the actress is said to have already shot the scene and apparently, Tabu even wore the replica of the peach-coloured salwar kameez and red dupatta that she had worn back in 2004 when she went up on stage to present the award to Dutt.

Tabu and Dutt had worked in Sarhad Paar in 2006 and since then they have been good friends.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the biopic will also see Manisha Koirala playing Nargis, Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, Anushka Sharma as a journalist, Sonam Kapoor as Dutt's love interest.
