Taapsee Pannu starrer Thappad that hit the big screens on 28th February this year garner immense applaud from the audience and critics, however, the film failed to mint enough money. The film helmed by Anubhav Sinha who has also directed the film such as Article 15, Mulk among others recently dropped an abusive tweet on his Twitter handle.
Apparently, a publication took to their Twitter handle and wrote, “Audience Gives TIGHT SLAP To #Thappad,” in the wake to announce the figure the film has collected in the Box office, however, this remark didn't go down well with the maker and he ended up using colourful languages for them. The tweet was brought into the notice by another filmmaker Sudhir Mishra who responded to the tweet.
On seeing this Anubhav fumed in anger and used cuss words against them, he wrote “And I love you too.... इन हरामज़ादों ने फ़िल्मों का कोठा बना दिया है। last I checked it was an art form. My money. My movie. My profit. My loss. Who the fuck are you? Have I issued any public shares? Have you bought any??? Go watch the film. Like it. Hate it. Your call”

He continued in his another tweet where he wrote, “These motherfuckers seem to get my collections before me. Just for general awareness, I get my collections in 2-3 days. Before that whatever they put out is sheer speculation and their sweet desire.”

However soon his fan pointed out that what’s the need for using such language to which he immediately apologised.
My apologies for my language ladies. Sincerely. It is the love of those 150 people who made Thappad for the film that was being disrespected that shot me off. Apologies to all women and elders and younger ones on my timeline. SORRY!!! https://t.co/CgPXaEmT6W

Well, it's actually sad because for filmmakers 'film' is not just a project rather its their child they are quite possessive and passionate towards them. So when Anubhav saw such remarks being passed on his film he lost his cool and bashed him badly.
