Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi starrer Street Dancer 3D hit the silver screens yesterday alongside Kangana Ranaut’s Panga. Remo D’Souza’s 3rd edition witnessed a decent start on its first day. However, Varun and Shraddha failed to impress their fans and even failed to break ABCD 2’s record.
On its first day the film earned Rs 10.26 crore, trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced this on his Twitter handle and wrote, “#StreetDancer3D opens in double digits on Day 1... Should’ve collected higher, since youth-centric films, generally, open big... Biz affected in #Mumbai circuit due to #Tanhaji wave... Big growth on Day 2 and 3 essential for a strong total... Fri ₹ 10.26 cr. #India biz.”

As per reports, trade analyst was expecting a minimum Rs 15 crore opening from the film because the prequel ABCD 2 which released in 2015 earned 14.3 crores on its opening day. For Varun Dhawan too failed to beat his record of ABCD 2, Judwaa 2 and Kalank.
Talking about the film though the film has been lauded for its amazing dance moves, however, critics bashed the film for lacking a good storyline. Helmed y Remo D’Souza the film stars Nora Fatehi, Aparshakti, Raghav Juyal, Zarina Wahab, Prabhu Deva among others.
