Sridevi-starrer 'Mom' opened to good reviews, but had a lukewarm opening day at the Box-Office.
The film, however, gained pace on the second and the third day and earned a good amount of money to take it to a decent opening weekend numbers.
According to the Box-Office India, the weekend collection of the film stood at Rs. 14 crore nett approx as the film minted Rs. 6.25-6.50 crore nett on Sunday.
The film is expected to keep up with the momentum for the next week till Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif-starrer 'Jagga Jasoos' releases.
The film is mainly doing well in the five big metros (Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata and Bangalore).
The collections of Mom for the first weekend are as follows:
Friday - Rs. 3,00,00,000
Saturday - Rs. 5,00,00,000
Sunday - Rs. 6,25,00,000
Total - Rs. 14,25,00,000
The movie also stars Akshaye Khanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actor Sajal Ali in pivotal roles.
