Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is always in headlines for her fashion sense or her outspoken nature. This time, she is hitting headlines for her comment against Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Earlier on February 16, Bhagwat while addressing RSS workers in Ahmedabad, said that divorce cases are more common in ‘educated and affluent’ families at the moment. He also cited the reason that education and affluence bring arrogance among such people which resulted in a separation between couples.
After noticing the comment of Bhagwat, Sonam slammed him on Twitter and wrote, Which sane man speaks like this? Regressive foolish statements."
Sonam Kapoor's tweet has been re-tweeted by nearly 1000 users, 5k likes and hundreds of comments. Many people praised her while many criticized for her comment on Mohan Bhagwat.
The event where the RSS chief spoke about divorce was also attended by the family members of RSS workers.
"Nowadays the number of divorce cases have increased a lot. People fight over trifle issues. The cases of divorce are more in educated and affluent families because with education and affluence comes arrogance, as a result of which families fall apart. The society also falls apart because society is also a family," Bhagwat was quoted as saying in a statement issued by the RSS, news agency PTI reports.
RSS chief also told that Hindu society should be ‘virtuous and organized’. The RSS chief also said that India has no option other than Hindu society and Hindu society has no option but to behave like a family.
