Bollywood’s popular singer Sona Mohapatra is known for wearing heart on her sleeves. She never shies of speaking her mind even if it involves Bollywood’s biggies. Recently, the singer is in news for slamming OTT platforms for bowing down in front of same 6/7 families of Bollywood. Her tweet came in the form of a reply to filmmaker Onir’s tweet which read, “That is the story of the indie films ... be it the artists or the craftsmen. A combination of changing audience taste and an industry that wants change can help the industry evolve.”
Commenting on his tweet she wrote that OTT platforms provided a ray of hope, however, even they have bowed to the Bollywood families. Her tweet read, “No immediate Friday BO pressures and a chance to back worthy talent and narratives..but then same TV execs hired, bowing to the same 6/7 families of #Bollywood and voila, Mrs. Serial Nonsense.”

Meanwhile, lately Irrfan Khan’s son Babil took to his Instagram handle and wrote a lengthy note revealing the dark side of the Bollywood. He wrote that his father gave his life trying to elevate the art of acting however, he was defeated at the box-office by the hunks with six-pack abs. Soon after his post, actress Nandita Das shared his post on Twitter. Even Onir’s tweet is in regard to Nandita and Babil’s post.
