STORY

Simmba film

As the trailer speaks itself the film starts with the introduction of Sangram Bhalerao (Simmba) an orphan who dreams to be a cop after seeing corruption and power of Police. Then with the fortunate and passion of Simmba, he becomes the Inspector Sangram Bhalerao (Simmba) appointed in the same village Shivgadh where he was brought up and make you remember that Bajirao Singham also belongs from the same village.

Simmba the totally corrupted and emotionless cop got transferred to Miramar police station where the man Durva Ranade (Sonu Sood) is the mafia king and he is totally ruling the place. He has two brothers who are involved in the drugs smuggling and in one of the incidents a girl watches them doing the same. The brothers of Durva rapes the girl and kills her brutally. Then the journey of Simmba being a corrupted cop to an honest and revengeful cop starts and it takes you to the most important message for the right time in India.

DIRECTION

Simmba film

Rohit Shetty is the king of masala and cop drama films and he knows what the audience actually wants from him. No doubt in the current time there is anyone who would be perfect than Rohit Shetty in making the cop drama films. Rohit just has picked the concept and storyline of the Telugu hit film Temper starring Jr NTR but he actually took only the first half from Temper. The second half of Simmba is totally different and entertaining than Temper, Rohit Shetty has given the film his own flavour and if you are thinking of that the film is a remake of Temper then let me tell you that it is different and you will get to know about it after watching the film.

Rohit Shetty not just has given the masala film but the most appreciating thing is that he has tried to give a social message and portrayed the image of police in India in the most heroic way. At the last, it is Rohit Shetty's laugh and he knows how to use superstars like Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar in the film Simmba.

PERFORMANCES

Simmba film

Ranveer Singh is always known for masala actor and critics even have called him the mass hero. This time in Rohit Shetty's film Ranveer Singh has proved that why he is the masala hero of the current time. He is on top with his power-packed dialogues, angry young man eyes, the most hard-hitting action and also romantic in some part. However, this time Rohit has also given him the comedy and Ranveer is just nailing it.

Sara Ali Khan has not much to do in the film and there is a section in the film where you will totally miss Sara. Although Sara has some part to do an in that phase she is just like Kareena Kapoor in other films of Rohit Shetty. It just the second film of Sara but audience will enjoy her performance.

Sonu Sood plays the role of leading villain Durva Ranade and he is like same what he did in Dabangg, and what Prakash Raj did in Singham. Doesn't expect much from Sonu Sood.

Ashutosh Rana is a versatile actor although his role is amazing and even he was good at his most honest cop performance. But he is much more than it there should be something for him and it could have been amazing if he would have played the role of leading villain.

MUSIC

The music is like so-so but you don't need music when you are watching Rohit Shetty's film because he works on background score than the songs of the film. The songs like Aankh Maarey and Tere Bin are already hit and others have just gone with the flow.

VERDICT

It is just an entertaining masala film. There are many reasons to watch the film, first for Rohit Shetty, then Ranveer Singh, then Ajay Devgn's grand cameo, and Akshay Kumar in the most surprising cameo. At the last the message what Rohit Shetty gave through the film that actually should be spread in the society.
