Sushant Singh Rajput’s death once again escalated the debate on ‘nepotism’ and how Bollywood treats an ‘outsider’. The actor who was suffering from depression died of suicide on 14th June. As soon as this news broke out netizens started trolling Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and other star kids after the reports suggested that Sushant was not treated well in the industry and after being such a spectacular actor he was not accepted in the industry.
Not just netizens even many celebs came out from the shell and spoke about how outsiders are treated in the Bollywood. Recently, Sidharth Malhotra in a session with We The Planet spoke about how he never thought it was possible for him to be a Bollywood actor. In the wake of Sushant’s death, he said that being an outsider and having no connections in Bollywood Sidharth never thought he will play lead roles in the film.
Sidharth who made his acting debut with Student Of The Year under Dharma Productions credited his parents for making him a good human being. He further went on to say that not many know his struggle before he bagged his first project as an actor. Before beginning his career in acting he tried his luck in modelling and later assisted KJo in My Name Is Khan.
Meanwhile, on the work front actor was last seen in Marjaavaan alongside Tara Sutaria. Now he will be next seen in the war drama Shershaah alongside Kiara Advani.
