Ayushmann Khurrana hit the theatres yesterday i.e on Friday with his film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan narrating the ordeal of homosexuals. The film where we saw Ayushmann saw essaying the role of ‘gay’ received immense applaud both from the critics and the audience.
And now, US President Donald Trump have also lauded the actor and the film after Peter Tatchell, Human Rights campaigner and LGBTO+activist took to his twitter handle to praise the film. Taking to his Twitter Peter wrote, “India: A new #Bollywood rom-com featuring a gay romance is hoping to win over older people, following the decriminalisation of homosexuality. Hurrah!”
Retweeting Peter’s tweet Donald wrote “Great!” The tweet so far has got 32.9K likes. On seeing this Ayushmann and makers must be on cloud nine that a foreign president has lauded and shown interest in the film.

US President has repeatedly touted himself as an ally of the LGBT+ community, despite his administration curtailing the rights of trans people. They have also banned them from military service.
The film marks the debut of Jitendra Kumar who also essays the role of gay apart from him Pankhuri Awasthi too made her debut with this film. The film that is helmed by Hitesh Kewalya also stars Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao among others.
