Gauri Khan, a renowned interior designer, and wife of actor Shah Rukh Khan has recently, revealed the secret about her home, Mannat.
In an interview to NDTV, Gauri told that her home is managed by her mother, Savita Chhiba from Delhi.
She credited her mother behind how SRK’s bungalow ‘Mannat’ is so well organized. Gauri said that her mother manages everything that happens in Mannat from Delhi through remote control.
Savita Chhiba remains in contact with the house staff either through phone call or WhatsApp and supervises them about cleaning and managing the Mannat properly.
Gauri further revealed that by doing this, her mother remains occupied, and also the house staff remains on their toes.
“Most of my organisation has been remote-controlled by my mum, who is in Delhi. She is on the hotline with the staff, pictures going back and forth, WhatsApp messages… ‘This space is dirty and this needs a full cleanup, this needs sanitisation’ and all that goes on. It keeps her busy and it keeps my staff in check,” SRK’s wife Gauri told NDTV.
“I have learned so much from her, she is basically handling my home through remote control, via messages and phone calls. She has been a huge helping hand,” she added.
Earlier, Gauri also gave a sneak peek into her workspace. Taking to Instagram, Gauri shared a video with a stunning sea-view where the designer is seen painting on canvas.
On the work front, Gauri is all set to turn the author with a coffee-table book. The tentative title of the book is ‘My Life in Design’. The book is expected to launch next year. The book of Gauri will carry the details about her journey as an interior designer and also feature some of her never-seen-before pictures of her projects, family, and residence.
In a statement, Gauri Khan asserted, “There are several experiences in my journey as a designer that I would like to record for posterity. The book will be very visually appealing with exclusive pictures and information that I feel could guide aspiring designers or those who are just generally interested in the art of design.” She revealed that due to lockdown she got the time to work on her coffee-table book and it will be published soon.
