Bollywood’s late actor Raj Kapoor’s daughter and entrepreneur Ritu Nanda died this morning in New Delhi.
Randhir Kapoor has confirmed the death news of Ritu Nanda with Indian Express. She passed away at the age of 71 while battling cancer.
Also, Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Ridhima shared this heartbreaking news on her official Instagram handle and pour in condolence for her aunt's demise.
“To the kindest most gentle person I've ever met - They don't make them like you anymore - RIP bua #missyoualways,” she wrote.
Rishi Kapoor’s wife Neetu Kapoor also wrote a condolence post on social media, "My dearest may your soul Rest In Peace 🙏💕🌸."
Ritu Nanda was the mother-in-law of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Nanda. Big B also expressed grief over the death of the Ritu and wrote, "My 'samdhan' Ritu Nanda, Shweta's Mother in Law passed away suddenly at 1.15 Am .. cannot communicate .. travelling."
In 2013, Ritu was diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatment in the USA. Being the entrepreneur, Ritu had also received several awards and honors. She also holds a record of selling 17,000 pension plans in one day. Ritu Nanda had also registered her name in the Guinness Book of Records. She was married to late industrialist Rajan Nanda. Her son Nikhil Nanda was married to Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan’s daughter Shweta.
Notably, Ritu is the sister of Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor.
