After the release of Padmaavat, Shahid Kapoor in several interviews told that he doesn't feel comfortable on Padmaavat sets and it is because Bhansali and Ranveer outed him from their company. There were even the reports that Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh were having a cold war but they hide it to not give any trouble for the film while making.
Recently, on Koffee With Karan, Shahid said that his relationship with Ranveer and Bhansali on the sets were only professional nothing besides that. However, now Ranveer Singh has responded to it, and in a recent interview, he said, "We were very good together, yaar. I think we had a good time shooting for the film. Creatively fulfilling,"

After that responding to it, Shahid Kapoor after Padmaavat told IANS, "You know, once on Koffee with Karan, Ranveer said he would have done my role in Kaminey better than me... I would have done Khilji differently,"
However, when Ranveer Singh was asked about the same, he said, "In my first year, I was very arrogant. That was not something I should have said. I regret saying that."
