Priyanka Chopra's award-winning Marathi film Ventilator is all set for its remake in Gujarati and it is also being said that film will also have a 'stage version'. The film was directed by known filmmaker Rajesh Mapuskar.

Priyanka's film has won three national awards for best direction, best editing and best sound mixing. The film has also gotten the standing ovation in New York film festival.

Now in a new development, it is being said that comedy-drama Ventilator would be remade in Gujarati by Falguni Patel and Lawrence D’Souza. Based on the story of the film, a Gujarati play is also being made. The play will be directed by Rajesh Joshi and produced by actor Sharman Joshi and Kamlesh Ojha.

Mapuskar, the director of Priyanka's film who is the creative director of the remake of the film, told Mumbai Mirror, “I had seen Rajesh’s play, Code Mantra, and had loved it. So, when this offer came along, I was like ‘Oh he is the same guy!’ I’m fascinated to know how will they come up with a stage version but I am sure it can be done as the film is set in a single location and is about a man who you don’t see but everyone’s talking about him. I am really looking forward to this”.

The film Ventilator was also sent to FFI for India's official entry in Oscar along with BahuBali and Newton. But the film was not chosen, instead, Newton was chosen as India's official entry for the award show
