Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor got his due to Bollywood when he got a blockbuster in form of Kabir Singh in 2019. he film went on collecting 278.24 crores in its lifetime box office collection and became biggest solo hit ever for Shahid Kapoor. The actor has not announced any film after the success of Kabir Singh, however, reports are that he will star in the remake of Tamil superhit film Jersey.
It has reported that Shahid Kapoor has shown his nod to the project that will be produced by Aman Gill, Allu Arjun and the original producer Dil Raju. According to the updates, the actor will kick-start the shooting of the film from November month and he took a long break to spend some time with his family. It has reported that Shahid Kapoor will shoot the film co-star Rashmika Mandanna who will make her Bollywood debut with this film.

It was told that Shahid Kapoor showed a green signal to this project even before the success of Kabir Singh. According to times now, “Shahid has not only asked for a huge remuneration but also asked for a profit share. He is getting Rs 35 crore plus taxes as his fee, along with a 20 per cent share in the film’s profits.”
With this charge of amount, Shahid Kapoor has joined the list of actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and others. Earlier, Ranbir and Ranveer only charge this much amount in the current generation.
