It looks like the Baahubali series has inspired Bollywood for a long time and after the superhit response to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Padmaavat, one another filmmaker of Bollywood, Ashutosh Gowariker who is famous for making period films has once again decided to make a film on historical war.
Today in the morning, the Mohenjo Daro filmmaker announced his next historical film called Panipat and that too along with the leading cast. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who was just looking for some big project has signed Panipat and now Bollywood's another action hero Arjun Kapoor also has bagged the same project. Kriti Sanon who was seen in historical character in Dinesh Vijan's film Raabta will also be seen playing the leading role.

The film of Ashutosh Gowariker will be based on the third war of Panipat between Maratha warriors and King of Afghanistan, Ahmad Shah Abdali. Reports are that this film will show the bravery of Maratha warriors and especially of Peshwa Madhavrao.

Now this project is surely going to be interesting to watch after having a grand scale release of the films like Padmaavat. This will be Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt's first historical film and also their first collaboration. Some sources told that Sanjay Dutt could be seen playing the role of Afghanistan king Ahmad Shah Abdali while Arjun Kapoor can portray the role of Maratha Warrior.
