The release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial film Padmavati has become trouble for the makers of the film, initially, the film was supposed to release on 1st December 2017 but now it has been postponed for the next year 2018. It all happened due to the whole controversy of Rajput Karni Sena protest against the film.
The film is now in the black shadows and there are few chances that it will get a clear release anytime soon, despite that now the Padmavati makers have zeroed themselves to a new release date for the film.
According to the latest reports, the studio Viacom 18 has decided to release the film on Republic Day weekend keeping the whole holiday weekend in mind.

Well, this is surely a big blow for Akshay Kumar who already has announced that his next film 'Padman' is going to release on 26th January 2018, that also stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor.
Padmavati already has created lots of buzzes and now most of the Indians want to watch Padmavati because of the controversy. So, in that case, Akshay has got a direct loss.

On the other hand, it is also going to a clash for two actresses Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone after a long decade.
