Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is getting appreciated a lot for her brilliant performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Padmaavat. The audience also has loved Ranveer Singh's performance as Alauddin Khilji. While Shahid Kapoor played the role of a silent and quiet king Maharawal Ratan Singh and he also has got praised for dignity acting in the film.

Recently in an interview, Shahid Kapoor said that if he would have got a chance of playing Alauddin Khilji, he would have played it better than Ranveer Singh in his own style.

According to TOI, Shahid said, "If I would have got this role he would have surely accepted it and never had said no to this film. Who would have rejected this role and that too in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film? Do you know once in Koffee with Karan, Ranveer Singh said that he would have played Kaminey's role better than me. I could have also done Alauddin Khilji better."

Now Ranveer Singh also has reacted to this remark of Shahid Kapoor in an interview. Ranveer said "I have a regret of saying that I said I could have played Shahid's Kaminey's role better than him. I just entered the industry and I was arrogant that time. If anybody other has got a chance of playing Alauddin Khilji then they would have also played it better and in their own style."

Here Ranveer Singh also said that he tried to give all comfort to Shahid on Padmaavat sets.
