It was said that he was almost on the board however, as the time went by the actor backed down from the project. In an interview with India Today, Shekhar told that the character he described in the script was completely Hrithik. Characters’ manner, inner world, conflicts all were Hrithik. Not just this whenever Shekhar would sit down with AR Rahman for the songs for the film he would ask Rahman to imagine Hrithik and then make the songs.
Why Hrithik Roshan backed-out?
During the conversation, Shekhar told the portal that since he got involved in Hollywood and other projects he grew apart from his passion Paani. Also, not just his script kept evolving and changing, in fact, Hrithik too changed to what he is today. “The Super Hero. The man who is the protector, the man who can take on the world single-handedly. The man who knows he can take on the world singlehandedly. Hrithik evolved into Krish. And I realized I had left it too late…So while I lost the chance to cast Hrithik in Paani, I hope that he would still agree to be in one of my next films.”
