A string of Bollywood celebrities took on Twitter to congratulate National Award-winning actor Rajkummar Rao whose newly released dark comedy film Newton has created a buzz in media with its official entry in Oscar.
Actors including names like Paresh Rawal, Anil Kapoor and Karan Johar has extended their wishes for the actor.
The film is nominated under Best Foreign Film language category at the Oscars. The decision to send Newton's name was taken by 14-member jury committee of film federation of India. The committee was headed by Telugu film producer-director C V Reddy.
The film Newton is directed by Amit Masurkar and starring Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi and Anjali Patil. The film released across India on 21st September.
