Nawazuddin Siddiqui is apparently the latest to ask for share in profit instead of a fixed remuneration.
Nawzuddin Siddiqui was last seen in Sridevi’s Mom, in which he played the role of a detective. He received much appreciation for his performance. Now according to the latest buzz, the actor is asking for share in his film’s profit. A source says, “ Nawaz was recently offered a script by a big production house. After the narration, Nawaz told them that he liked the role and he will do it if they are ready to share profit with him. The producers were taken aback, so they told him they will get back to him on that."
Nawaz will be next seen Kushan Nandy’s Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, in which he will be seen playing a sharpshooter.
This film created a bit of news recently when the casting director of the film, Sanjay Chouhan said in one of his interviews while clarifying about Chitrangada's earlier exit from the film, "Nawaz was part of the project even before it started. Later Chitrangada Singh was roped in but she left the project abruptly. So we had to again hunt for a leading lady. Keeping Nawaz in mind, we have to choose other characters. We can't cast fair and handsome people with Nawaz. It would look weird. You have to take people with distinct features and personalities when pairing them with him."
Nawaz didn't seem to like this too much as he took to twitter to give a fitting reply in a tongue-in-cheek manner, “Thank U 4 making me realise dat I cannot b paired along wid d fair & handsome bcz I m dark & not good looking, but I never focus on that. (Sic)"
