Young designer Sonaakshi Raaj, who is the stylist in Tiger Shroff-starrer upcoming film 'Munna Michael', promises that besides action the Sabbir Khan's directorial will also be high on fashion and style quotient.
Talking about the film costumes, the young designer told ANI, "When I started conceptualising the costumes for 'Munna Michael', I know I was heading for a challenge as it's not an ordinary film. It's a hardcore dance based yet commercial film. So it required all the essence of the glam punch along with authenticity of the craft."
"In this film people will get to see an array of costumes from street style to contemporary, from high glam to classic, from traditional to modern. Captivating concoction of diverse cultures and styles with a chic edge will be seen in the film," she added.
Designer Sonaakshi, who got trained under veteran designer Manish Malhotra, is a graduate from SNDT University holding a bachelors degree in Apparel Manufacture and Designing. Her eponymous label came into existence in 2009.
"My Label is Synonymous with opulence. With an intention to create glamorous ensembles catering to women's couture wear. With a design philosophy that is distinctly feminine and refined. It renders to styles that are luxurious yet understated," she said.
The label currently designs for the leading actors from the Indian film industry, including the likes of Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.
' Munna Michael', India's first dance-action movie, will see the 'Baaghi' actor paying a tribute to the late dancing sensation Michael Jackson and his father Jackie Shroff. The film that also stars Nidhhi Agerwal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is slated for a July 21 release.
