Rani Mukerji starrer Mardaani 2 hit the theatres yesterday leaving all the audience in awe once again. The film is the sequel of 2014 hit Mardaani where she was running behind the gruesome criminal played by Tahir Raj Bhasin as Karan Rastogi the Indian mafia. Talking about the collection then according to reports this film can mark Rani’s highest opener after Hichki.
The film helmed by Gopi Puthran is expected to collect Rs 4 crore on the first day of its release. Well, Rani is a big name however, the villain of the film Vishal Jethwa stole the limelight with his spine chilling debut performance. The film is based on crime against women by juveniles who first rapes and then kills the women mercilessly.
Not just the audience even trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his twitter handle to applaud the film and the characters. He gave 4 stars to Mardaani 2 calling it “brilliant.”

The film also falls in the clutch of controversy even before it was released because the storyline is based in Kota city. As soon as the trailer was released the residents of Kota expressed their displeasure and claimed the film wasn't based on facts. However, soon makers cleared the air by saying, “despite all the inspirations, Mardaani 2 at the end of the day is a film and not a documentary and it should be seen as that".
