Rani Mukerji, Vishal Jethwa starrer Mardaani 2 is running at a steady pace at the box office. On its first day, the film collected Rs 3.80 crores, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “#Mardaani2 witnesses stronger occupancy post 3 pm shows, after a lukewarm takeoff in morning... On the second day the film is expected to collect Rs 6.50 crore and with this overall goes up to 10.30 crores. As per the reports the Mardaani 2’s collection grew by 75-805 from day 1.

This film marks the directorial debut of Gopi Puthran. The film was released in 1600 screens in India and 505 screens overseas. Not just this the film was being screened with English subtitles in southern states of India.
