According to BBC reports, Madhubala has worked in 66 films, despite giving such big hits, Madhubala’s desire to work in this certain movie was never fulfilled and she regretted this her entire life.
She always regretted of not being cast in Bimal Roy's movie, Biraj Bahu. She even visited Bimal Roy’s office several times but due to some reason he could not cast her. Biraj Bahu was released in the year 1954 and Kamini Kaushal has worked in this movie. This movie was based on Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay's Bengali novel. Till her last breathe Madhubala regretted of not being cast in this movie.

Madhubala was quite popular and always remained in news due her affair with Dilip Kumar, infact, they both were about to get married. However, it is said that Madhubala’s father was against this marriage and after sometime Madubala got married to singer, actor, director Kishore Kumar.
