Kartik Aaryan who is gearing up for his upcoming film Love Aaj Kal co-starring Sara Ali Khan gets trolled for his women with defects remark. The actor who has given several hits to the industry recently in an interview was asked over his comparison with Ayushmann Khurrana. While drawing the line he said Ayushmann does films based on men with defects while he does the film about women with defects.
As soon as he uttered these words it spread like a fire on all social media platforms and in no time netizens started trolling the actor for being chauvinist. People started cursing Kartik saying that Ayushmann does film to remove the stereotypes and not where men have defects. One of the users wrote on Twitter, “Just here to say that Kartik Aaryan is a misogynistic, homophobic and bigoted piece of shit.”

However, as it is said that sikka kai do pehlu hotey hai same way even Kartik’s statement has two sides. As per Pinkvilla report, the actor clarified that he was quoted out of the context and revealed that it was all related to a meme.

Yes, the actor said that he discussed and reacted on a meme where something was written as also had stumbled upon it. Kartik continues that people sometimes take things out of the proportion and when he said this it was just a light moment. Well, this is not the first time the actor was criticized over his statement, earlier to this his marital rape dialogues from Pati Patni Aur Woh stirred up the controversy.
On the work front, after Love Aaj Kal that will hit the big screens on 14th February Kartik will be seen in two sequels i.e Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dostana 2 this year.
