1. Debut

As we all know Karan appeared for the first time in the film in a supporting role in Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer DDLJ, however from here he didn’t make his acting debut. Talking about the acting debut on Riteish Deshmukh and Sajid Khan’s chat show Karan told that he made his debut from a TV show Indradhanush when he was 14-15 year old. The show is a children’s series which dealt with themes of outer space and time travel. Here Karan essayed the role of a schoolboy named Shrikant.
2. Does Karan Johar want to marry Ekta Kapoor?
During an interview, Karan expressed to marry TV czarina Ekta Kapoor. He elaborated on it and said that he doesn’t find a suitable match than Ekta. “If I and Ekta do not get any in life, we will marry each other.” On hearing this Ekta Kapoor gave her nod and added that when is he planning to propose her.

We all loved Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Kajol and Salman Khan in the film and there is no one better who could have essayed these roles, however, do you know they were not the Karan’s first choice. Yes, for Salman’s role Karan picked Chandrachur Singh, for Kajol’s role he approached Juhi Chawla and for Rani’s role he approached Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Urmila Matondkar. However, they all turned down the offer so at the end Karan hung up on Salman, Rani and Kajol.

5. London Olympics 2012
Karan Johar is the only Indian besides former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who was invited for the opening ceremony of the London Olympics.
