Karan Johar made Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna taking the centre of an extra-marital affair with the leading star cast of Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Amitabh Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Abhishek Bachchan, and Kirron Kher. The film told how troubles in marriage make people's life totally different and they find support and love from other victims of marriage.
KANK filmIn this film, Shah Rukh Khan played a physically challenged football coach Dev Saran who is married to ambitious woman Rhea Saran (Preity Zinta) but they are not happy with each other. On the other hand, there is Maya Talwar (Rani Mukerji) who is not feeling the love with her husband Rish Talwar (Abhishek Bachchan) and finds love after marriage in Dev. Dev and Maya find support in each other and the result turned when they fall in love with each other.

Now the film is all about the extramarital affair, so the Indian audience felt the film totally opposite to their culture. Indian audience openly criticized the film and even Karan Johar had to face a failure through KANK in India. Although, the film did quite good at the overseas market and made a huge collection record. Well, it is 12 years of the film and the film still raises a question to the society and broken marriages.
