John’s film and the sequel to Fukrey are set to release on the same day in December
John Abraham has joined hands with KriRaj Entertainment, which produced Akshay Kumar’s National Award winning film Rustom to make three films. The actor has started preparing for his first film Shantivaan, which also features him. This film is based on real life events of Nuclear Weapon Test done by India in 1998 under Atal Bihari Bajpayee’s government which received negative reactions from some countries, including US, which chose to imposeeconomic sanction on India. .The makers have recently announced that the film will go on floors on April 20 and they are planning to release it on December 8.
On the other hand Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s sequel to Fukrey (2013), stars Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat and Manjot Singh. The first film did well at box office, which prompted the makers to come up with the sequel. The cast has already completed shooting for Fukrey Returns in an around Delhi earlier this year and it was declared that the film will release on December 8 this year. So now both John and Farhan’s productions are set to have box office clash.
