The father-son duo is back after four years in Gowtam Tinnanauri’s upcoming film Jersey which is a remake of Telugu film. The film has been hitting the headlines for various reason and now a new report is doing rounds that Shahid Kapoor’s father Pankaj Kapur has joined the cast. For the third time, they will be sharing screen space after Mausam and Shaandaar.
As per the reports doing rounds on social media, Pankaj has been roled for a pivotal role where he will be essaying the role of Shahid’s mentor in the film. In the film, we will see Shahid Kapoor portraying the role of a cricketer.
When asked Pankaj on bagging the role in son’s film he said that he is very excited to be part of the film and it will be interesting to work with him. While talking to Bollywood Hungama he spills the beans by saying that the film is high on emotional quotient.
Talking about the film, Kabir Singh actor has started his prep session for the role, a month ago he was seen practising in the net. Not just this Shahid left his fans all excited when he shared a snap from his practice session. The film will go on floors this month and will start the shooting in Chandigarh.

The film is being helmed by Gowtam Tinnanauri who has also directed the original film. The film is set to hit the theatres on 28th August in 2020.
