Rumours are that director Shekhar Kapur will soon make a sequel to India's most loved film Mr India. Shekhar Kapur directed Anil Kapoor and Sridevi starrer Mr India in 1987 and the film was a blockbuster at the box office. However, now director himself has denied all kind of rumours of making a sequel of Mr India.
According to a close source of Boney and Anil Kapoor family, “There will never be another Mr India. Sridevi is gone. It is impossible to imagine Mr India without Sridevi. Even if Anil Kapoor was agreeable, Boney Kapoor who is the producer of Mr India would never dream of doing a sequel without his late wife.”
Feels like déjà vu! @shekharkapur & I are deep in discussion about something new and super exciting! We're hoping to create the same magic we did before with Mr. India...The cap adjustment was lucky then, and it might do the trick this time as well! 😉 pic.twitter.com/Je9she0YGp

Even the director Shekhar Kapur has denied the reports and he said that he won't make Mr India sequel without Sridevi. Bollywood Hungama quoted Shekhar Kapur by saying, “I don’t know what is happening with that project or what Boney Kapoor’s plans are. I was never going to direct the sequel. Now with Sridevi no more, the question doesn’t arise.”
Let us tell you that the rumours of Mr India 2 started after Anil Kapoor shared a picture of his meeting with Shekhar Kapur. He also captioned that they were discussing any film, however, he didn't reveal any name.
