Recently, director Karan Johar celebrated the success of 20 years of his directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Now after 20 years of his career's first film is planning to make a sequel of his cult film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. A source from Dharma Production says that Karan is planning something same like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai now.
Bollywood Hungama quoted a source, “Karan has cracked an idea for a sequel. Now, all he needs to do is to develop it, which he’s doing and pretty soon there will be an announcement,”

So what will be the cast of the film, has he finalized the cast of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2? Apparently, Karan, several times has told that he wants to remake Kuch Kuch Hota Hai with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Janhvi Kapoor.
However, the sequel of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is currently on the initial stage and nothing is finalized on papers. Even though, Karan is also busy in his next directorial period drama Takht starring Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and others. The film is supposed to release on Diwali 2020.
