I don’t believe in buying awards, says Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar was conferred the National Award for his performance of a Navy Officer in Rustom and the actor later on thanked his fans and family for their constant support.

There were several questions raised about the credibility of the awards as many felt Akshay did not deserve to win the same. How Kumar while interacting with a daily revealed that he has never cheated to win an award till date.

“Itna keh sakta hun mai ki ye award bhi maine imandari se jita hai. Maine aaj tak cheating nahi ki. Neither have I ever made a call to anyone to win an award nor have given money or done favours for it,” said Akshay.

The actor is currently busy shooting for Padman that also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles. The R Balki directorial is looking for a Republic Day 2018 release.
