Huma’s film Partition 1947 is releasing with Shraddha’s Haseena
Gurinder Chadha’s film, which was earlier named as Viceroy’s House will now release in India on August 18with a new name, Partition 1947. The film stars Huma Qureshi, late Om Puri, Manish Dayal, Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson and Michael Gambon. Earlier this year the film was released in Berlin and United Kingdom and has got good response so far. The makers were eyeing to release it in India around Independence Day this year since the film is based on partition era. A new poster released states the film is set to release on August 18.
Sharddha Kapoor’s biopic on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar is also releasing on August 18. Shraddha’s Haseena is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and stars her real brother Siddhanth Kapoor, and Ankur Bhatia. Haseena was to initially release on July 14, but it was pushed ahead to avoid box office clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s Jagga Jasoos.
Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon starrer Bareilly Ki Barfi too is releasing on August 18.
