Director Rohit Shetty's recently released film Simmba has done quite amazing at the box office and the film has turned out to be a blockbuster as well. The film is now the third highest grossing film of 2018 after Sanju and Padmaavat. While Rohit Shetty is enjoying the success of Simmba, he already has announced his next project Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar.
Recently, Pooja Hegde who is working with Akshay Kumar in his next film Housefull 4 got into the discussions when reports of her casting in Rohit Shetty's film went on fire. The reports were that Pooja Hegde has bagged Akshay Kumar's next film Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty. However, now Rohit Shetty has finally responded to the rumours and also the reports of Sooryanvashi's casting.

Rohit Shetty in an interview told that Sooryanvashi is currently in the scripting phase and he alongside his team are currently processing for the final draft of the script. He also added that currently they are totally zeroed when it comes to signing any female lead for the film.
For those who are not aware of Sooryavanshi, let us tell you that in the climax of Simmba starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar made a small appearance where he was seen as ATS officer Veer Sooryavanshi and talking with Singham. With this, Rohit Shetty also announced his next film will be coming in 2019.
