Bollywood actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai is celebrating her 44th birthday today, as the actress was born on 1st November 1973. The Indian beauty Aishwarya Rai doesn't need an introduction as the she has achieved much more than her name. She is a star, miss world, famous actress, fashion icon, a trend setter and much more.

There are a lot of things that are widely talked about the actress' personal life, love life, marriage life, and rivalries. However, talking about her career, she started modelling in her initial college days and she participated in Miss India competition in 1994. Well, she won the Miss India World title in the competition, then she took to participate in Miss World competition and here she made her biggest achievement by getting the title of Miss World.

Interestingly, in her initial college day, she got many offers of films but she didn't accept them as she wanted to mainly focus on her modelling career. Well, her first commercially successful film was Tamil romantic film Jeans released in 1998.

She became an overnight star when she won two Filmfare awards for her performances in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) and Devdas (2001) respectively. Till now she has done several films in her career and she always has proved that she is a beauty with brain and also has acquired great acting skills. Her last film was Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and this film was surely a treat for her fans as she just nailed the character with her sexy and cinematic moves. Not only in Bollywood and Tamil, the actress also has worked in some Hollywood movies.
