Lal Singh Chaddha actor Aamir Khan is celebrating his 55th birthday today on 14th March. The actor has given many hits as well as inspirational films to Bollywood and his audiences such as 3 Idiots, Taare Zameen Par, Dangal, Lagaan among others and still the actor didn't receive any big awards such as Filmfare, IIFA among others.
Well, now we have so many awards in the Bollywood, but earlier there was only one award function i.e Filmfare Awards for whom whole industry use to wait for it and the same way even Aamir waited for his turn in 1996. We all are well aware of Aamir not attending any award functions, in fact, National Award function too however very fewer people know the reason behind the big step.

The incident is dated back in 1996 when the actor was nominated for his film Rangeela in Filmfare alongside Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The Dangal actor was expecting that this time he will be awarded for the best actor however to his surprise the award went off to SRK leaving the actor in dismay.
Since then he decided that he will never attend any award function as according to him he was the deserving candidate for the best performance in Rangeela. Not just this he also thought that the organizers were always biased towards SRK. Also, the relation between the two Khans hit the rough patch back then but now it seems the cold war between the two has ended.

During an interview, he said, “Fact is that I have no objections to film awards. I just feel that if I don’t value a particular film award, then I won’t attend it either.” As per him, the biggest award is the audience’s reaction and love.

Not just Aamir Khan but other celebs have boycotted the award function such as Ajay Devgn, Boney Kapor and Sridevi and many more. Well, Aamir doesn't need any trophy to prove his work after doing such splendid film he earned the title of Mr Perfectionost and this is enough for any actor. He is being loved and appreciated by his audience and for him, only this matters.
Happy Birthday Aamir Khan and may you keep shining like this always!
