Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Ittefaq is going to hit the screens this Friday, but just before the release of the film, the makers have got a good news as the South film industry already has shown their interest in making a remake of it.
According to DNA, a source said, "Abhay Chopra and Juno Chopra have been approached by a few South makers to sell the rights to their film. They want to remake the film in Telugu. Abhay and Juno have had several discussions and are also keen to give the producers the right to remake."

The interesting thing is that Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha starrer film is itself a remake of Yash Chopra directorial 1963 released Rajesh Khanna starrer 'Ittefaaq'. However, the Telugu makers are not keen to take the original one's rights but they are keen to remake the newer version.
Now why they want the rights of the newer version, on this one source has told that newer version of the film has a different plot and concept. This version has crisper and thrilling moments and this has excited the south film industry people.

However, the makers of Sidharth Ittefaq have clearly said that they are not in the mood to make the Telugu version of the film themselves but now they are happy that someone else can make it in Telugu also.
