Popular southern composer S.S. Thaman, who is making his Bollywood debut with Rohit Shetty's "Golmaal Again", believes the fourth part in the popular franchise is the perfect launch pad for him.
"I have been offered a few Bollywood projects in the past but I wasn't quite interested. I was waiting for the right project and that's when 'Golmaal Again' came along. It's the perfect Bollywood launch pad for me," Thaman told IANS.
Having commenced work on the album, he said Rohit has been following his work for long now.
"I have been told by his assistants that he has been following my work since 'Brindavanam'. He also liked my work when he watched the Hindi dubbed version of some of my Telugu films. I'm excited to be working with him," he said.
Explaining why this is a perfect launch pad, Thaman said: "This film has my kind of music, high-voltage and commercial. It is contemporary and stylish. It's in my space, so I can have fun working on the album."
With nearly half a dozen projects in the south, Thaman wants to continue working in Bollywood as well.
"But I will be very choosy and won't accept every offer that comes my way," he clarified.
