The film is directed by Reema Kagti and the film is all set to release on 15th August 2018. It is known that whenever Akshay Kumar has come up with the stories of patriotism it always had worked on the silver screen.
This film is made under the banner of Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's production house Excel Entertainment and they have already clear that Gold is not a biopic. It is totally a fictional story and how the players and the sports of India were in that situation.
