Rangoli Chandel - Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for her upcoming film Panga also starring Richa Chadda, Jassi Gill, Neena Gupta and Yagya Bhasin. The actress who lately applauded Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak recently revisited the horrors of the acid attack on her sister Rangoli Chandel during the promotion of her film Panga.

During an interview with Mumbai Mirror, the actress revealed that she was just 19-years-old when this horrific incident happened with her sister. At that point of time, she was on the threshold of a bright career and it was a long and hard struggle to deal with this kind of perverse, sexist cruelty. She said, “outward appearance is far more important to a woman than a man, and taking that away from her is a fool-proof way of isolating her from the world.”

She further added that she did whatever came in her way to help her sister Rangoli. As Kangana was not financially strong at that time so to collect money for her sister’s surgery she did tacky films. Took up roles that she didn't deserve, not just this she also accepted the guest appearance roles just to support her family and to treat her sister by the best surgeon in India. It took 54 surgeries, however, she still suffers from the problems.
