Does Aamir Khan want Fatima Sana Shaikh in Salute?

Aamir Khan is currently shooting for his upcoming film Thugs Of Hindostan with Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Amitabh Bachchan. The actor will begin work on his next in the coming year which is a biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma. The film is tentatively titled Salute and is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur’s new production house. There has been lot of buzz about who will be cast opposite Aamir in the film and according to sources Fatima is one of the contenders for the role. A source says, “The casting for the film is still underway. The makers are looking for an actress to play Aamir’s wife. Aamir has liked Fatima’s performance and has suggested her name but makers will take the final call and then make the announcement if she will fit the bill.”

Earlier reports suggest that Priyanka Chopra was approached to play his on screen wife in the film. It is a powerful role and it would have been interesting to see Aamir and Priyanka sharing a screen space for the first time.However Priyanka is yet to give her nod for the project.

Thugs of Hindostan is produced by Yashraj Films and is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The film is slated to release on November 7, 2018.
