Did Abhishek Bachchan choose Arrest over Paltan ?

Abhishek Bachchan was recently in news for walking out of J. P Dutta’s Paltan. It was said that the actor has left the film citing personal reasons. However it is said that he was apparently keen to star Ram Gopal Varma’s Arrest. A source says, “Ramu has already confirmed working with Abhishek in Arrest and the actor had given dates to him. It is a story of cop who has underworld connection. Since it is an interesting role, Abhishek opted to work on Ramu’s film first.”

 Reports suggest that since Abhishek is making his comeback in films after nearly three years, the actor wanted to do a challenging role. Ramu is yet to announce rest of the cast for his film though it is said that the film is likely to go on floor soon and release next year Although there is no clarity on why Abhishek left his first director’s film, he has signed quite a few films in recent times, including Prabhudeva’s Lefty, Priyadarshan’s Bachchan Singh and others.
