Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad that was scheduled to release this Diwali and was supposed to go on floors from July has been postponed. The film that is written by Sohail Makhlai said that the film was to have its first major schedule in April, however, due to the lockdown, they shifted the schedule to July. They planned for July as Kangana will be shooting for her upcoming film Thalaivi i.e. Jayalalitha’s biopic.
However, now the makers are in doubt whether they will be able to shoot in July or not as the Coronavirus is getting serious in India with every passing of the day. As per Bollywood Hungama, Sohail said that though the film is getting postponed they will for sure make the film and will hit the box-office with huge numbers.
The new release date of the film will be announced as soon as they will resume the shooting. Sohail has last produced the film Knock-out that starred Kangana Ranaut, 8 years ago, so as soon as he announced his film Dhaakad his fans got excited and are eagerly waiting for the film.
Meanwhile, as the Coronavirus has taken toll all over the world, the entire entertainment industry has come to a halt. As per reports, the films that are scheduled to release in May i.e Radhe, Coolie No 1, among others have got postponed and the new release date is yet not out as makers are waiting for the cinema halls to re-open.
