Deepika Padukone has always been spoken about the word 'depression', she had said openly many times that she had gone through depression. However, a few months ago, in an interview with Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan told that he didn't have the "luxury of being depressed". Well, now after a long time, Deepika Padukone has responded to that remark of Salman Khan.
"The word that best describes my experience of depression is struggle. Every second was a struggle. I felt exhausted the whole time," she told a magazine.

"People confuse it with being a bit sad. A male star said recently that he didn't have the luxury to be depressed. As if depression is a choice!" Deepika added taking a jibe at Salman Khan.
Let us tell you that Salman Khan in last year interview said, "I see a lot of people getting depressed and emotional, but I can't afford that luxury of being depressed or sad or emotional because no matter what I am going through, it works against me."
Deepika Padukone who herself had to go through a depression phase in her life started a foundation Live Love Laugh on 10th October 2015. She started the foundation to spread awareness about mental illness and reduce the stigma surrounding them.
