Deepika and Irrfan’s film will release in October next year

Deepika Padkone and Irrfan Khan’s next untitled film is going to release on October 2. The film iswritten by Vishal Bhardwaj and Rohan Narula and is based on a story Femme Fatale from Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens Of Mumbai. It has been directed by Honey Trehan. It is said that Vishal who is also producing the film thinks that October 2, which is Gandhi Jayanti, is a lucky date for him. He believes his last two releases, Haider and Talvar, released on this day did well.

Deepika will play mafia queen Rahima Khan, also known as Sapna Didi in the film and Irrfan will essay a local gangster who is in love with her. So he helps her in her mission to kill Dawood Ibrahim. 

Though October 2 is a holiday but it does not fall around weekend next year. So the film might release on Tuesday, but if the makers decide to release it on previous Friday (September 28) to cash in the extended weekend then it will end up clashing with Yashraj’s upcoming film Sui Dhaaga, which features Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma.
